If you're on our yearly Professional plan, you can register a domain for your Authory portfolio free for the first year through our partner, Hover. After the first year, standard Hover renewal rates apply.
Eligible domains
The following extensions are free for the first year:
.com, .net, .org, .online, .site, .website.
Before you start
The free domain offer is available once you've added payment details to your account and your trial has ended.
Step-by-step
In Authory, go to Settings → Custom domain
Click the button labeled "Claim a free domain!"
Click your personal registration link (this takes you to Hover with the free year applied)
Create a Hover account and register your domain
Return to Authory and enter your new domain
Click Connect domain
That's it. Hover automatically configures the DNS to point to your Authory portfolio, so there's no manual setup needed on your end.
What happens next
Your domain is usually live within 30 minutes. We'll email you as soon as it's validated. Your default Authory URL (authory.com/yourname) will continue to work alongside your custom domain.
Make sure to use your personal registration link
The free year offer is tied to your unique registration link inside Authory. If you go to hover.com directly, the offer won't apply. Always start from the "Claim a free domain!" option in your custom domain settings.
