Audio and video upload limits in Authory

Written by Eric from Authory

Authory lets you upload audio and video files directly to your account, so you can include podcasts, interviews, radio segments, YouTube-style work, TV clips, showreels, and other multimedia content in your portfolio.

The upload limits depend on your plan.

What are the upload limits?

Here’s how much audio and video you can upload:

Plan

Audio

Video

Standard

600 minutes / 10 hours

60 minutes / 1 hour

Professional

3,000 minutes / 50 hours

600 minutes / 10 hours

Where can I see my current usage?

You can see your current audio and video usage in real time in your account settings at authory.com/app/settings/account. This shows how much of your available upload limit you’ve already used.

What counts toward the limit?

Only audio and video files you upload directly to Authory count toward these limits.

Regular written content, PDFs, links, images, screenshots, and other non-audio/video work samples do not count toward your audio or video upload limit.

Are audio and video limits separate?

Yes. Audio and video each have their own separate limit. For example, on the Standard plan, you can upload up to 10 hours of audio and up to 1 hour of video.

Using up your audio limit does not reduce your video limit, and vice versa.

What happens if I reach my limit?

Once you reach the upload limit for your plan, you won’t be able to upload more files of that type unless you remove existing uploads or upgrade to a plan with a higher limit.

For example, if you’re on Standard and you’ve uploaded 60 minutes of video, you’ll need to delete some uploaded video content or upgrade to Pro before adding more video.

Can I still add links to audio or video work?

Yes. These limits apply to files uploaded directly to Authory. You can still add links to audio or video work hosted elsewhere, such as podcast platforms, YouTube, Vimeo, publication pages, or other websites.

What is the maximum video resolution?

Videos uploaded to Authory can be displayed in up to 1080p resolution. If you upload a video with a higher resolution, it may be processed or displayed at a maximum of 1080p. This helps keep playback smooth and reliable across devices while still providing high-quality video for your portfolio.
