The stars of the Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+ punch the press tour into lightspeed….

“Patience.”

Nope.

May 27 may only be a little over two weeks away but having any tolerance for the slow movement of time before the premiere of Obi-Wan Kenobi requires Jedi-level concentration.

Enter Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, and Moses Ingram, who are beginning to give their first interviews about the upcoming series.

The One Show Features The Chosen One, Obi-Wan, and Reva

Today on BBC’s “The One Show,” Christensen, Ingram, and McGregor dished (a few) deets on the show.

Of course, asked what he could tell us about the series, McGregor deadpanned, “Not a lot. I mean, we’re trying to keep it really under wraps. And I like that; we’re trying to give the fans the max experience when it drops in a couple of weeks.

“It’s no secret that Obi-Wan Kenobi is somewhat of a broken figure,” relented Ewan after Episode III. “It’s ten years later, and the Jedi Order has been destroyed. And all his friends are either lost or in hiding.

“So he is sort’ve a solitary, lonely broken man – that’s where the story starts.”

Terrifying As Vader

And that story grows to include what Star Wars boss Kathleen Kennedy called “The Rematch of the Century.”

But before the duel, Obi-Wan had to meet Vader.

“It really is [terrifying]!” said Ewan of Hayden in the armor.

Ewan explained, “I had a moment because I didn’t, obviously, in the three films we made, I didn’t work with Darth Vader.

“So in this, the first scene that we did, we rehearsed it… and Hayden didn’t have the helmet on.

“But in the scene, he comes up from behind me, and we’re getting ready, and I am getting my makeup done, and then they shout action, and I start walking down, and then I turn around, and there is Vader coming at me.

“And I swear like I had this jolt of absolute fear, real fear. No, I’ve never had that in acting before,” said McGreggor.

Reva Shows Up

They say fear leads to the dark side, but Christensen remains as self-effacing as ever, seemingly amused by Ewan’s remarks.

Christensen’s reaction to Vader’s return, indeed his return, was to say, “It’s amazing,” bashfully.

“I mean, it’s such an iconic costume, and you feel that when you put it on,” he said. “Such a treat to wear [that armor] again.”

Meanwhile, his co-star, Ingram, was almost poetic in her praise of the character she inhabits, the Inquisitor Reva.

“She is passionate and fearless, and she will cut anybody down that’s in her way,” said Moses, who sported nuevo space buns for the interview.

“And I think people will be able to identify with someone who [pauses] shows up,” she added. “I think Reva shows up.”
